ProTransport-1 honored for Bay Area fire evacuation efforts

The efforts of ProTransport-1 and its standout team of emergency medical services professionals were recently recognized by Kaiser Permanente for their efforts during wildfires that struck the North Bay last October.

On the night of Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, fires that would burn for as long as 23 days began to spread in Sonoma, Napa, Lake, Mendocino and Solano Counties. With healthcare facilities and patients at risk, ProTransport-1 responded to late night calls for evacuation assistance from Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center. ProTransport-1 crews worked with Kaiser Permanente and fellow ambulance transport providers to evacuate all patients from the hospital to safe locations where they could continue to receive medical care.

With the North Bay impacted by the fires coming together to rebuild in the new year, ProTransport-1 was honored with a Certificate of Recognition from Kaiser Permanente, which reads:

In appreciation for the services provided during the evacuations in the Northern California Wine Country fires. Kaiser Permanente would like to recognize and acknowledge the ProTransport-1 organization for the dedicated service and tireless efforts to ensure that all patients were evacuated quickly and safely.

ProTransport-1 is proud of the selfless, quality care its professionals provided in the face of danger. We thank our team members for their efforts, and we appreciate Kaiser Permanente’s recognition of those efforts.
